Venue

The Summer School will take place in ETH Hönggerberg campus in Zürich (26th-28th August) and in the EPFL campus in Lausanne (28th-30th August).

Attendees have to independently organize their arrival trip to Zürich on the 26th of August and their departure trip from Lausanne on the 30th of August.

The transfer between the two campuses on the 28th of August is organized by the school and included in the registration fees.

How to reach the campus?

Travelling by public transport

  • From Zurich main station:
    • by tram 11 to “Bucheggplatz” – change – by bus 69 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
    • by tram 10/14 to “Milchbuck” – change – by bus 69 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
  • From train station “Zurich, Oerlikon-Nord” by bus 80 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
  • From train station “Zurich, Altstetten” by bus 80 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
  • From train station “Zurich, Affoltern” by bus 37 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
  • From train station “Zurich, Seebach” by bus 42 to “ETH Hönggerberg”
  • From Zurich airport:
    • by train to Zurich main station or Zurich Oerlikon, then as above.
    • by tram 10 to “Milchbuck” – change – by bus 69 to “ETH Hönggerberg”

Travelling by shuttlebus “ETH eLink”

This direct bus elink between the Zentrum and Hönggerberg runs every 20 minutes from Monday to Friday.

The buses run from the bus stop “Unterführung Polyterrasse” via “Haldenegg” (next to the IFW building) direction Hönggerberg. Please note that the early morning and evening service will start and finish at the Zurich main station. You’ll find the timetable using the following link.

Travelling by car

Visitors can park their car at the location “Hönggerberg” in the underground car park P1 or P2. Parking fees will apply. You’ll find more information using the following link.

How to reach the campus?

Travelling by public transport

  • From Lausanne train station by metro M2 to “Flon” – change – by metro M1 to “EPFL”
  • From Geneva airport by train to Lausanne train station, then as above. 

Travelling by car

Visitors can park their car in white parking spaces on the EPFL campus. Parking fees will apply. You’ll find more information using the following link.

It is recommended to install the SBB app which is very convenient for planning the commute and buy public transport tickets.
